Integrated Catchment Management
Water is significant to our national identity - all New Zealanders’ deserve access to high-quality water. Population increase and unsustainable practices have put pressure on our freshwater resources. Water catchment management aims to manage water resources to maintain water quality for the benefit of all New Zealanders.
Water quality is impacted by all activities within the catchment area, including land-use practices. Our team has extensive knowledge and understanding of the effects of activities on groundwater and surface water, and mitigation measures to improve the water quality. Our catchment management projects include long-term management plans that guide the implementation of river and catchment management activities. These plans encourage community engagement, provide client certainty, and improve water quality for all New Zealanders. |
